Ketotteria, the Only Keto Bistro in Montreal
If you’ve heard about the keto diet, then you probably think it’s just another food trend that is going to come and go. People are always looking for a quick fix for weight loss, but the keto diet is much more than that. Keto, which comes from the word ketosis, is a normal process that happens when your body doesn’t have enough carbs to burn for energy. The owners, Corina and Gary, decided to open the restaurant because they have both been on the keto diet for a long time now and there is a lot of research to back up the benefits of the diet. Corina says that “there is a lot of misinformation about the keto diet, it has helped people not only lose weight but also get off of all of their medications.” One of the Ketotteria clients who has been on the diet for over a year, lost 200 pounds! She advocates that “keto is not a diet, it’s a way of life. Once you go keto, you don’t go back.”

Let me break down what they offer at Ketoterria: they have lemon poppy seed muffins for breakfast (made with coconut flour), delicious brownies for dessert, savory lasagna, fresh Cobb salad and even bagels! All menu items are made fresh daily, ready for you to eat on the spot or to grab and go. They also have a grocery store section when you can get items like gummy bears, kale chips, coconut wraps, grass-fed beef sticks and sugar-free ketchup!
If you want satisfying keto snacks and meals, this is the place to go! If you’re already doing keto, they also take special requests for your meal prep needs, just make sure to send it your request 20 to 40 hours in advance!
